  • Description: There are five different sections to writing exam essays for English Literature. 19th Century texts, Modern texts, Shakespeare, Anthology Poetry and Unseen Poetry. Whilst each exam board has a different structure on the paper, there are common elements to the way they are marked and assessed. This recorded block will provide advice on the AQA, OCR and Pearson Edexcel GCSE Literature papers, with each session covering one of the five sections. I’ll tell you which texts are included by which boards, provide links to anthologies where appropriate and explain the structure and approach to exam questions. Lesson 1 (Taster) will be 19th Century Literature
