  • Description: This is Block 3 of GCSE Sociology. Recordings of block 1 and 2 are available. Everything sociologists have learned about human behaviour in society is from studying people and society - but how do they do this? What is the research process? How do they decide what method is best? What issues do they have to consider and what factors influence their choice? This is what we will explore in the block, using famous studies and linking to GCSE topics such as families, education and crime to apply our knowledge and understanding. We will: - Describe a range of methods in research - Understand differences such as primary and secondary data, and qualitative & quantitative data - Explore te research process - Understand practical issues influencing a sociologist´s choice of research method
