About this course

  • £10.00
  • Tutor: Natalie, 5 sessions
  • Age: 10+
  • Description: Block 5 is a continuation of the previous blocks. For students who have had lessons before and would like to join us, this is the perfect time to join. For students who are new to piano, there is a ‘Condensed Catch-Up Block’ for you to purchase, where I have condensed all of our previous blocks into one. This block will run alongside these sessions. This catch-up block covers everything that the students need to know before joining us in Block 5. Within Block 5, we will be: • Warming up with scales and arpeggios • Developing our sight-reading by exploring rhythm and reading notes on the stave • Playing chords and finding their inversions • Improvising using chord progressions • Exploring broken chords • Learning how to play a simplified version of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 There will be time at the end of every session for students to ask questions or play for the group. As in previous blocks, these sessions are aimed to give students the tools that they need to be able to learn music independently. To play scales and arpeggios To develop sight-reading skills To play chords and their inversions To improvise using chord progressions To play broken chords
