About this course

  • £10.00
  • Tutor: Jo D, 5 sessions
  • Age: 12+
  • Description: PLEASE NOTE: You will need to have completed the first advanced photography block before doing this one and will need the same camera which has manual capabilities. If you wish, you may purchase a grey card for this unit, though it is not compulsory. (Search for white balance /metering/ exposure grey card online - the cheap ones work fine!) Fine tuning our skills. Following on from the first advanced photography block, we are becoming more confident in taking photographs using manual mode. We will now begin to fine tune our skills even further by learning how to perfect our exposures through the use of different metering modes. We will learn how to take control of and adjust white balance, and well as building upon our knowledge of light from previous blocks. We will also learn more about how to get tack-sharp focus when shooting. Throughout the block, there will be a number of creative photography challenges to help students to practise and explore their new skills. L/O: To understand how to manually adjust exposure and white balance, and how to effectively focus our images in different scenarios.
