  • 5 sessions (live or recorded, 45-55 minutes long)
  • Time: 4pm
    Start Date: 20th April 2026
  • Age: 11+ (must be 11-25 at assessment date)

Content

  • Print Techniques

You must have completed blocks 1-4

In this block we’ll focus on printmaking, giving our young artists the chance to try a range of techniques and develop their skills further as part of their ongoing Trinity Arts Award Bronze journey.

Over the sessions they’ll experiment with different materials and processes, design and create their own prints, and take time to refine ideas and techniques. There will be plenty of space for creative play, problem solving, and developing personal style, while also continuing to gather evidence for their Arts Award portfolios.

As always, the focus is on enjoying the process, building confidence with new skills, and supporting each other’s creativity

  • Course Objectives:

Develop practical printmaking skills by exploring at least two different techniques and experimenting with tools, materials, and processes.

Generate and develop original ideas by designing and creating a series of prints inspired by artists, themes, or personal interests.

Reflect on the creative process by discussing and recording what worked well, challenges faced, and how their work has developed for their Arts Award portfolio.

Tutor

Lydia .

Fashion & Art Tutor

Hi! I’m Lydia and I teach Art, Fashion, Crochet, Knit and Embroidery in the hub and love every second of it. You’ll also find me in the Social Pods running activities, which I’m super excited about. It’s so lovely to talk to the wonderful members in the hub about their hobbies and interests and see their confidence grow as they form friendships. I’ve been a Secondary School teacher for 14 years but made the decision to leave the classroom this year and focus on teaching sessions that encourage fun, creativity and learning without limit.

“After a year of mostly science and art, my child has recently started Creative Writing class. From the first lesson I was blown away by the quality of the teaching, the standard of work the children were submitting and the supportive environment of the group. The tutor has a fantastic rapport with her students and it is also so nice (and great for their self-confidence) to see the students give each other great feedback and encouragement.”

Louise, parent

“I would like to say a huge Thank you for your incredible service. Such a brilliant concept and as an ex-teacher I'm very impressed with the quality of teaching, resources, well everything really! My 14year old is like a different child nowadays, wish I had deregistered him years ago in hindsight. Thank you!”

Claire, parent

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for all you do at the Hub. It is such a Godsend for us. Our kids are enjoying their lessons, the live interaction with other kids and the lovely, lovely teachers. Where did you find such wonderful, knowledgeable but incredibly patient people?! It’s such a relief our kids can get a tailor made, good quality, British style education even as we live out this slightly crazy life here in the Mexican jungle! Thank you very much to all involved.”
