  • Description: 151,000 people in the UK use British Sign Language to communicate, with many more people able to sign and join in discussions with Deaf people. Wouldn’t you like to be able to have a chat with them too? BSL is a visual language that allows those from the Deaf community to communicate- but that doesn’t mean only those who cannot hear can sign! Join this course to learn, practise and revise BSL signs and learn about Deaf awareness and culture. Please note: Signing is also a very handy skill to have for chatting through windows, across rooms and when you need to be quiet! To learn to fingerspell in BSL. To increase awareness of Deaf Culture and Deaf Awareness. To learn greetings and other basic signs in BSL.
