  • Marketing in Action

    In this exciting block, we dive deeper into the Marketing unit by exploring the dynamic elements of the marketing mix:
    Product, Price, Place, and Promotion.

    Learners will investigate how businesses craft strategies around these four key areas to attract customers and stay ahead of competitors.

    Through real-world case studies we will examine how the marketing mix must adapt in response to changes in consumer trends, market conditions, and technological innovation.

    Get ready to think like a marketer and discover what it takes for a business to not just survive - but thrive - in a competitive market.

  • Course Objectives:

    Understand the components of the marketing mix - product, price, place, and promotion - and how they work together: learners won’t just memorise the 4Ps – they’ll bring them to life. Through real business case studies and activities. Learners will be confident in analysing how the 4Ps link together to create a powerful brand presence.

    Explain the importance of the marketing mix in helping a business meet customer needs and achieve its objectives: we will explore customer profiles, match them to marketing strategies, and how the right marketing mix can keep customers loyal and help businesses hit big goals.

    Explore how and why the marketing mix may need to change in response to market trends, competition, and changing consumer behaviour: learners will understand real-world trends – from the rise of TikTok ads to eco-friendly packaging – and uncover how businesses must adapt or risk being left behind. They will understand how businesses stay ahead of their competition.

Business IGCSE, Law, Criminology Tutor

Hello! I’m Carla and I teach a variety of Secondary Social Science sessions in the Hub. These currently includes Business, Law and Criminology. I am a Freelance Educator who enjoys a variety of roles. My most recent role outside of the Hub has been a Deputy Headteacher which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I am also an Educational Advisor for Claire House and examiner with a leading exam board. I have almost 20 years’ teaching experience and have led the pastoral care of students for the vast majority of my career. I have vast experience of leading Alternative Provision within the secondary system and that is why I adore the Hub and our learners within it soooooo much. I am based close to my home city of Liverpool, have three children and two cats. I love music and always start my sessions with a song whilst everyone is joining. During my free time you will find me exploring the UK and France in our caravan. Hope to see you soon in one of my sessions.
