    Discover the Power of Marketing!

    In this exciting block of our IGCSE Business course, we’ll dive into the world of marketing, the engine that drives every successful business.

    You’ll learn how companies really get to know their customers through market research, how they adapt to stay ahead in fast-changing markets, and why smart businesses don’t try to sell to everyone but focus on the right people at the right time.

    We’ll break down the marketing mix and see how product development, pricing, promotion, and place all work together to turn ideas into bestsellers.

  • Course Objectives:

    1. To uncover how market research helps businesses get inside the minds of their customers: we'll explore how companies ask the right questions, gather the right data, and use it to create products people actually want.

    2. To understand why marketing is the heartbeat of any successful business: we'll discover how effective marketing can make the difference between a business booming or going bust.

    3. To explore how businesses find and reach the right customers through market segmentation: we’ll learn how companies group their audiences and tailor their messages, turning browsers into buyers.

    4. To break down the marketing mix and see how it helps businesses create products that sell: we'll investigate how product, price, place, and promotion work together like pieces of a puzzle to launch successful products.

Business IGCSE, Law, Criminology Tutor

Hello! I’m Carla and I teach a variety of Secondary Social Science sessions in the Hub. These currently include Business, Law and Criminology.
I am a Freelance Educator who enjoys a variety of roles. My most recent role outside of the Hub has been a Deputy Headteacher which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I am also an Educational Advisor for Claire House and examiner with a leading exam board. I have almost 20 years’ teaching experience and have led the pastoral care of students for the vast majority of my career. I have vast experience of leading Alternative Provision within the secondary system and that is why I adore the Hub and our learners within it soooooo much.
I am based close to my home city of Liverpool, have three children and two cats. I love music and always start my sessions with a song whilst everyone is joining. During my free time you will find me exploring the UK and France in our caravan.
