  • Description: This is an introduction to the wonderful (though sometimes daunting) world of careers and progression. In this block we will define career, embrace career curiosity, get familiar with researching career and pathway options (including university and apprenticeships), explore employability skills, discuss work experience and portfolio careers, create a CV and recognise what is important in relation to careers and next steps at this stage. There is no "one size fits all" approach - students will be empowered to explore what is best for them. This block is led by career coach, consultant and content creator Gina Visram. Careers & Next Steps is an introduction to the world of careers and is designed for participants to view careers in a spirit of fun and optimism, not fear and overwhelm. Participating will mean that students end up with direction and resources when it comes to exploring potential interests.
