Tutor

Gemma .

Drawing & Bible Studies tutor (previously also geography, KS2 Topic, cake decorating)

Greetings!! I’m Gemma Lloyd. I’m a qualified Early Years and Primary School teacher up to Year 6. I have been teaching since 2005. I graduated from Durham University in 2003 with a degree in music. I am a home-school mummy to 9 children and I absolutely love how I’ve been able to teach other children alongside my own. My children have benefited so much from interaction with other children online. I initially started teaching online in September 2019 to help my husband get out of the teaching system. He joined me teaching maths online up to A level and the international baccalaureate in September 2021 and we are now a family fully immersed in online learning. We also enjoy how open-ended our learning is and my children have been taught by so many other fabulous teachers. I have taught phonics, grammar, spelling and punctuation, book clubs, maths, children’s exercise classes, piano, nursery rhyme singing with the piano, drawing, art, cake decorating and much more. However, I love drawing the most as I find it relaxing amongst a busy home life! The £2 tuition hub is perfect for large families like mine, which is why I’m so keen to support and offer any help I can. Xx

“£2 tuition hub was the best resource I found my entire time home educating. I’m still currently using the £2 Hub 3 years later”

“Fantastic group has helped us through 3+ years of home ed, wish we knew of you before that when we first started ”

Sharon, Parent

“This group is without doubt an absolute blessing. Fantastic classes with amazing teachers at an extremely reasonable price. I for one am so thankful to you and your team for everything you all do. We appreciate the hub so much and are very grateful xx ”

Claire, Parent

“We have been taking part in the BSL lessons and the other day had great fun finger spelling while shopping. Two of my children have dyslexia with T being more severe, he hates and refuses spellings. Along comes BSL and he’s loving spellings!” ”

Holly, Parent

“Our family are full time travellers and the hub is a life line for us. The children get to see and speak to adults who show a real interest in their learning and their lives. They get to pick lessons that they are interested in and have fun learning something new. The social hub was a real life line for us too. My 3 have made friends and love getting to chat to children and adults daily too. ”

Donna, Parent

“I can’t thank you enough for starting this group Amy. You gave me back my happy (not so little anymore) boy. Thanks to this group he’s realised he’s not the stupid, naughty kid that school made him believe he was. His sister is on school holidays and he’s doing recorded lessons by choice. Xxxx ”
