About this course

  • £10.00
  • Tutor: Hannah S, 5 sessions
  • Age: Approx 3-5
  • Description: In this block, we will explore the wonderful world of shape! Together, we will learn all about different shapes that we see in our daily lives, from simple 2D shapes like squares, circles, triangles and rectangles, to more complex 3D shapes like cubes, spheres, cones, and pyramids. As always, we will sing fun songs, watch exciting videos, and play interactive games to learn about shapes in an engaging way. We'll start by identifying 2D shapes, such as a circle on a clock, a square window, and a triangle in a slice of pizza. We'll then learn how to describe them by their sides, corners and other features. Next, we will dive into the fascinating world of 3D shapes. We'll learn how to recognize them in real life objects, like a ball being a sphere, a can of soup being a cylinder and a pyramid shape of a building. We'll explore their properties, such as faces, edges, and vertices. Throughout our exciting journey, we'll also have fun practicing our counting and sorting skills, as we group shapes by their features and characteristics. By the end of this topic, we'll be masters of 2D and 3D shapes and be able to see them all around us! L/O: To identify some 2D and 3D shapes in the environment To name some 2D and 3D shapes To be able to sort some 2D and 3D shapes by their properties To be able to list some 2D and 3D shape features IMPORTANT: For live sessions, use the link in your zoom email For recordings and resources, please sign in to the website to access https://the2poundtuitionhub.com
