  • Description: We will be focusing on polar habitats in this block. From Antarctica to the Arctic. We will look at climate and seasons and adaptations of both plants and animals. Learning objectives: "To map key features of the Arctic and Antarctica. To summarise information about the Arctic and Antarctica. To explain how the polar seasons are caused by the Earth’s orbit. To annotate diagrams to explain the causes of the polar climate. To construct and interpret a climate graph. To create a fact poster about a polar animal. To explain how polar animals have adapted to the polar environment. To carry out an investigation to understand penguin behaviour. To recognise the characteristics of the tundra environment. To explain how plants have adapted to the polar environment. "
