  • BLOCK 1 OF 3. Description: Introduction and first five anthology poems. Pearson Edexcel IGCSE English Literature Component 1 includes both unseen and anthology poetry and is worth 33% of the final grade. In this block, I will introduce you to the structure of Component 1 and where the poems fit in and in the introductory video, I will explain how the Unseen Poetry section works and how these blocks will also support the Unseen as well as the anthology.

I’m Diane and I teach a variety of Secondary English sessions in the Hub, which currently includes Classic Literature, Modern Literature, Shakespeare, GCSE English Language, Creative Writing and Poetry. I’m a recently retired Secondary Head of English, a current examiner of many years’ experience with some of the major exam boards and I run my own tuition business. I have been teaching since 2004. I’m now based in Somerset, originally from the Midlands but I lived in Cornwall for many years.
