What are the different psychological explanations for the development & treatment of eating disorders? What does psychological research tell us about obesity and dieting? These are all questions we will explore in this contemporary topic. L/O: We will: - Explore evolutionary and psychologial theories about food preferences - Explore different psychological explanations of eating disorders (using anorexia nervosa as a focus) - Explore different psychological explanations for obesity - Explore psychologial research surrounding success and failure of dieting
