Content

  • School and Stationery

    The block stands alone but assumes some previous knowledge of basic French including numbers, colours, greetings, etc and works best if previous blocks 1 and 2 have been completed.

    You may not go to school but you still learn lots of things and in this block we will learn the words for the different subjects you learn and you can give your opinions on them. We will also learn the words for lots of stationery items and things you have and don't have in your pencil case or bag.

  • Course Objectives:

    To be able to say what stationery items you have and haven't got and describe them by colour.

    To learn parts of the verb 'avoir' to say what you have and haven't got.

    To be able to say what school subjects you do and give your opinions on them using a variety of adjectives.

    Pen and paper or notebook, 6 number dice and weekly worksheets from the dashboard

KS3 French Tutor

Bonjour, I’m Angela and I will be teaching secondary French in the Hub. I’m a mum of 2 grown up children, a qualified MFL teacher and a lover of all things French. I have many years of experience in teaching French to children and adults of all ages and since 2010, I have been a private self-employed tutor primarily teaching children, most of whom are home educated. I love learning and teaching languages and am currently teaching myself Spanish. I am proud to say that I can count to 10 in 6 different languages! Along with language learning, my other passion is travelling and in fact, language learning and foreign travel complement each other wonderfully as together, they provide a richer, more informed life experience allowing for deeper cultural immersion and a better understanding of other cultures, customs and traditions. The benefits of both impact all areas of our lives - personal, academic, social and professional spheres. I try to make all my lessons fun as that is how we all learn best and so there are plenty of games and a variety of different activities. I look forward to meeting some of you soon. A bientôt!
