Content

  • The Secret Life of Water

    Where does rain come from? Why do clouds form? How can the same drop of water travel across oceans, rivers, clouds and back again?

    In this geography topic, children will follow the incredible journey of water around our planet. We will explore how the Sun powers the water cycle, how clouds and rain form and what happens when water reaches the land.

    Along the way, we’ll discover how rivers shape landscapes, why some places receive lots of rainfall while others stay dry, and how people use and protect the water we depend on every day.

    Through diagrams, discussions and creative activities, children will build a clear understanding of one of Earth’s most important natural systems and see how every drop of water is part of a never-ending cycle.

    Understand how the water cycle works, including evaporation, condensation and precipitation

    Learn how clouds form and why different types of weather occur

    Explore what happens to water when it reaches the land, including rivers, runoff and groundwater

Geography, KS2 Topic Tutor

Hello 👋🏻 My name is Kerry and I am really happy to be joining the £2 tuition hub family as a tutor. Iwill be teaching the KS2 Topic and Geography classes and can’t wait to see some of you there. I’m an KS1 and KS2 specialist teacher, teaching in the classroom for 14 years before tutoring and my favourite subjects (to teach and to learn!) are history, geography, art and science. When I’m not teaching, I love to read, cook, go for walks and play games with my 3 year old, Alfie!

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.
