  • Italian Adventures

    This class is ideal for people who did the class last year.

    Join us on an exciting Italian adventure as we explore life in Italy through language, culture and creativity. During this five-week block, pupils will learn about Italian homes and everyday life, discover famous places across Italy, become weather reporters using Italian vocabulary, and create their own Italian superheroes.

    Through games, songs, speaking activities, role-play and creative projects, children will build their confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Italian while developing their understanding of Italian culture.

  • Course Objectives:

    The block revisits and extends previously learned language, giving pupils opportunities to use their Italian in fun and meaningful contexts.

    By the end of the unit, pupils will be able to describe homes and rooms, talk about the weather, share facts about Italy, and present their own superhero using simple Italian phrases and vocabulary.

Italian Tutor

Ciao tutti! I’m Bronagh and I’ll be offering Italian classes in the Hub.
I’m a qualified languages teacher, translator, and a lifelong language lover. I’ve taught both adults and children over the years, in Italy and in the UK and love helping others gain confidence in speaking another language especially when it leads to new adventures. I also love travel - the doors that languages open and the connections languages spark.
I taught languages in Scotland to P6 and P7 pupils for many years in state schools and also ran Saturday morning languages classes for children from P1-P7. I teach Italian privately to adults and children and teach languages and English in Secondary schools. My lessons are interactive and fun and I use songs, stories and games to keep things interesting.
I’m also a mum of 3 boys, 2 lively teenagers and one who just graduated on Monday! Yikes how did that happen so fast!. I also have a little dog and 3 cats. You will definitely meet my cats! They are very nosy and love jumping on my laptop while I’m teaching!
I also love creative writing and have a passion for triathlon and the great outdoors. In my classes, expect a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, plenty of fun activities, and real-life language you can actually use. I believe learning should be joyful, not stressful - and a little laughter always helps along the way.
