  • Mini Missions: Planet Protectors

Get ready for a joyful, creative, planet‑saving adventure! In this five‑lesson block, children become real‑life Planet Protectors, completing a brand‑new mission each week through stories, games, crafts, and imaginative challenges. Every session is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help children feel proud of the difference they can make - all from home.

Each week brings a new mystery to solve and a new eco‑superpower to unlock:

Litter Legends - Help defeat the Rubbish Monster and learn how to care for our parks and playgrounds.

Water Wizards - Save the town from the Tap That Wouldn’t Stop and discover magical ways to protect our rivers.

Energy Explorers - Track down the Energy Guzzler and learn how to use electricity wisely.

Wildlife Watchers - Rescue a hedgehog in trouble and create safe spaces for animals to thrive.

Planet Party Planners - Celebrate your achievements with Earth’s biggest thank‑you party!

  • Children will draw, design, build, imagine, and problem‑solve - all while learning simple, meaningful ways to look after the world around them. Every mission ends with a moment of celebration, helping children feel capable, empowered, and excited to keep protecting our planet.

Perfect for little learners who love stories, creativity, and making a difference.

    Course Objectives:

By the end of this 5‑lesson block, children will:

Understand how their everyday actions affect the environment Children learn that small choices — like where rubbish goes, how long a tap runs, or what gets switched off — make a real difference.

Develop simple, practical eco‑skills they can use at home Each mission teaches an easy, achievable action they can confidently try in real life.

Recognise key environmental themes Litter, water, energy, wildlife, and celebration - explored through stories, games, and creative tasks.

Build creative problem‑solving skills Children design badges, creatures, superheroes, gardens, and party invitations to respond to each mission challenge.

Grow confidence in sharing ideas and taking part in discussions Every session includes opportunities to talk, imagine, explain, and reflect.

Develop care, empathy, and responsibility for the natural world Through characters, stories, and hands‑on activities, children connect emotionally with the planet and its creatures.

Celebrate their achievements as Planet Protectors The final session reinforces pride, motivation, and a sense of belonging to something positive.

KS1 Topic Tutor

Hi, I'm Kat! I'm a mum of two, living in beautiful North Devon with my family and our two cheeky cats. I love spending time outdoors — whether that’s paddle boarding, coastal walks, or growing my own vegetables in the garden. Cooking is a big passion of mine, and I enjoy bringing creativity and fun into everything I do. My favourite colour is blue, and I believe learning should be a joyful, hands-on experience where children feel inspired and confident to explore the world around them
