  • The Amazing Brain

    What is happening inside your brain when you learn something new, remember a favourite moment or react in a split second?

    In this five-week block, children will explore the incredible organ that controls our thoughts, memories, movements and much more. Through simple experiments, challenges and investigations, they'll test their memory and reaction times, discover how messages travel around the body and explore what helps our brains learn and work well.

    Rather than simply learning the parts of the brain, children will become brain investigators, using their own results and observations to understand one of the most fascinating parts of the human body.

  • Course Objectives:

    understand that the brain is part of the nervous system and helps control and coordinate the body
    explore how information travels between the brain and different parts of the body
    investigate reaction times and recognise that results can vary between people
    explore factors that can affect how we learn, remember and concentrate
    plan and carry out simple comparative investigations, recording and discussing their findings

Hello 👋🏻 My name is Kerry and I am really happy to be joining the £2 tuition hub family as a tutor. I will be teaching the KS2 Topic and Geography classes and can’t wait to see some of you there.
I’m an KS1 and KS2 specialist teacher, teaching in the classroom for 14 years before tutoring and my favourite subjects (to teach and to learn!) are history, geography, art and science.
When I’m not teaching, I love to read, cook, go for walks and play games with my 3 year old, Alfie!

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
