Content

  • In Town

    The block assumes prior knowledge of French including numbers, KS2 vocab and verbs être and aller in the present tense.

    The course is most suitable for children age 11+ who have done some French before and want to progress further and faster.

    Specialist Resources Needed:

    Pen and notebook and ideally a 6 number die. It would be helpful for them if they also have access to the previous block handouts.

  • Course Objectives:

    We will learn or revise lots of places in a town, transport types and talk about where we are going and where we are, using the verbs être and aller and revise the immediate future tense.

KS3 French Tutor

Bonjour, I’m Angela and I will be teaching secondary French in the Hub. I’m a mum of 2 grown up children, a qualified MFL teacher and a lover of all things French. I have many years of experience in teaching French to children and adults of all ages and since 2010, I have been a private self-employed tutor primarily teaching children, most of whom are home educated. I love learning and teaching languages and am currently teaching myself Spanish. I am proud to say that I can count to 10 in 6 different languages! Along with language learning, my other passion is travelling and in fact, language learning and foreign travel complement each other wonderfully as together, they provide a richer, more informed life experience allowing for deeper cultural immersion and a better understanding of other cultures, customs and traditions. The benefits of both impact all areas of our lives - personal, academic, social and professional spheres. I try to make all my lessons fun as that is how we all learn best and so there are plenty of games and a variety of different activities. I look forward to meeting some of you soon. A bientôt!
