About this course

  • £10.00
  • Tutor: Jo B, 5 sessions
  • Age: Approx 11-14, KS3
  • Description: Forces & Motion. During this block we will be exploring motion of objects, as well as looking at how forces are used to make things move and change. L/O: To understand how to calculate the speed of an object, or distance moved, or time taken to move from incomplete data. Learn how to create and use a distance/time graph for the calculation of an objects speed, and what the gradient of the graph means. Find out what forces are and how they act on things around us, looking at the difference between balanced and unbalanced systems. Be able to create and read a forces diagram. Explore and understand how air resistance works as a force. Look at the relationship between mass, weight, and gravity, and understand that weight is a pulling force which is dependent on the gravity in a given system.
