Content

  • Autumn Nature Crafts

    A craft class using as many natural materials as possible to encourage children to spend some more time outdoors - investigating their natural environment - then get creative with what they have brought inside.

  • Course Objectives:

    Week 1 - To learn the difference between deciduous and evergreen. To learn what’s growing now. To be mindful of the changes around us. To be creative (fireworks theme)
    Week 2 - To look at the structure of a leaf. Mindful threading for wellbeing. Traditions at the change of seasons.
    Week 3 - Early fabric dying – blackberries (onions/avocado as extras) Food preservation. Fine motor skills – playdough hand strengthening.
    Week 4 - The needs of birds in autumn. Find motor skills, hand strengthening, patience.
    Week 5 - Looking at pattern and visually pleasing colour choices. To be creative.

Primary French, Nature & R.E. Tutor

Hi, I’m Amanda and I’m the teacher of Primary French and Learning with Nature in the Hub. I’m a mum to 3 grown up children (one of each) and Granny to one lively 3 year-old who insists I read his French books every time he comes for a sleepover! I’m a primary school teacher and I’ve been teaching French to this age group since 1995! I love that it is a subject that ALL children can achieve in and that it helps with English grammar, spelling and attention to detail as well as being fun! I’ve even published some books with Ladybird and Brilliant publications in this field. As well as teaching in the Hub, I run a little business helping people to get outside more often (which is how I met Amy ) and this links in really closely to our Learning with Nature classes which are primary science linked with a belief that the best way to love our planet is to learn to love nature (can you tell I was Eco-Schools coordinator at school?). These are my 2 passion subjects in school and I just love passing that on to your youngsters!

  • How do I access the Live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration. You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class. The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient
