• STAND ALONE BLOCK. Description: Brick Chronicles 1: Reimagining tales through Lego problem-solving. In this block we will be retelling and reimagining the traditional tale 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' but with a twist! Lego! We'll begin by crafting three unique animals for the tale. (It doesn't need to be goats!) Then we will build a bridge to help the animals get over a Lego stream. The challenge invites participants to problem-solve with the Lego they already have to design a bridge that can efficiently cross a stream. Participants must consider factors such as bridge stability, load-bearing capacity, and overall design. They can test their bridges and make adjustments based on the success or challenges faced during the initial tests. However, the animals are still not safe to cross because there is a creature living under the bridge! Children will have the opportunity to delves into the creation of a troll or mystical creature, sparking more imaginative storytelling. The final session with Lego, designing a delightful garden to extend the story's enchanting world. Younger children will enjoy retelling their version of the story while the older ones might like to incorporate more elaborate methods of crossing the river such pulley systems or traps to trick the troll! There really will be something for everyone! Hannah's Lego Club sessions seamlessly blend storytelling with hands-on Lego problem-solving for an engaging and imaginative experience.
