  • Study Skills for IGCSE Marine Science Success

    Struggling to revise effectively or feeling overwhelmed by your Marine Science exam?

    This 6-part online course will help you work smarter, not harder. Using the Cambridge IGCSE Marine Science syllabus and strategies from The Only Study Guide You’ll Ever Need by Jade Bowler, we’ll explore the best ways to revise, how to manage your time and motivation, and how to tackle exam-style questions with confidence.

    Specialist Resources Needed:

    Any printed resources you are expected to have, Carrie Ann will put on the dashboard.

    Essentials (Please bring to every session):

    * A printed or digital copy of the CIE IGCSE Marine Science syllabus (0697)

    * Notebook or folder to keep all notes together

    * Pens, pencils, and highlighters (optional – we’ll explain how to use these effectively)

    * Index cards or a flashcard app (e.g. Anki or Quizlet)

    * Access to a past paper or printed exam questions (we’ll also provide some during sessions)

    Recommended Study Tools:

    * Sticky notes

    * A whiteboard and marker (or mini wipeable board)

    * Coloured pens

    * Timer or Pomodoro app (e.g. Focus Keeper, Forest)

My name is Carrie Ann! I teach Primary and GCSE science in the hub. I have a degree in Biochemistry and over 16 years science teaching to my name, both in schools and the outdoor classroom. I am obsessed with making science fun for children! I want to inspire children to become scientists. Why? Because science is SO important. We need tomorrow’s: 👩‍🔬Doctors 👨‍🔬Research Scientists 👩‍🔬Engineers 👨‍🔬Inventors 👩‍🔬Nano technology experts If we can spark your child’s imagination to ask, explore, question and investigate; this becomes of a life-long skill which could lead down the path of an amazing science career. Who knows we might even have a future Nobel Prize winner?!
