In the September block we will be looking at:- Unit M5: Marine ecology.
This unit follows on from units M1 - M4 from Year 1.
This unit of study, M5 Marine Ecology, focuses on various marine ecosystems and their unique features. Students will explore the language of ecology and delve into topics such as open ocean ecosystems, rocky shores, sedimentary shores, mangrove forests, and tropical coral reefs. Each ecosystem will be studied to understand its structure, function, and ecological interactions. This first half of the unit aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of marine environments and the importance of their conservation.
