Content

  • Number, Fractions, Decimals and Indices

    Block 1 - This block will cover the following material suitable for those studying GCSE and IGCSE aiming at grades 4-6. It will contain mainly Foundation level material, with some higher level topics on occasion, but only to a grade 6. It is designed to cover material found in the overlap of the two tiers and thus be suitable for all exam boards and levels.

    In this block we will cover Numbers (using and methods), Fractions, Decimals and Indices.

    Material will be available in both written form (worksheets+answers) and also using LBQ online tasks.

  • Course Objectives:

    To achieve confidence and knowledge in the material taught.

    Specialist Resources Needed:

    All resources will be provided each week as worksheets, answers and LBQ codes.

IGCSE/GCSE Maths Tutor

Hi, I’m Doug. I’ve been teaching maths full-time in schools for over 17 years, but over the last year and a bit I have been teaching online and helping home educate our 4 eldest children.
I’m loving teaching on the hub and what it offers to so many home educating families…. especially what value for money it is!!! In addition to teaching maths I also teach/train cadets at school as well as coach target rifle shooting.
It has been a pleasure teaching so many new faces on the hub so far, and I look forward to them becoming familiar over our mathematical journey.😁
