    Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of media and discover how the movies, TV shows, music videos, social media, and advertisements you love are created and shaped? This course is designed for students who want to explore the powerful role media plays in our everyday lives.

    This class is designed to follow the theory behind the GCSE media syllabus (although please note we can't offer the full qualification due to the practical elements required)

    Throughout this class, you’ll learn to analyze and understand different types of media, uncover the hidden messages behind what you see and hear, and even try your hand at creating your own media projects. We’ll look at everything from storytelling and audience targeting to the impact of technology and culture on media.

    Whether you’re a creative thinker, a future filmmaker, a social media whiz, or just curious about what goes on behind the scenes, this course will equip you with the skills to think critically about media and express yourself confidently.

    Join me on this journey where learning meets creativity - and together, we’ll explore how media shapes our world and how you can shape media too!

Performing Arts, Dance, Yoga Tutor

Hi, I’m Rosie, the Performing Arts teacher. I’m a mum of one and I own a Theatre School here where I live in leafy Somerset. I am also a one to one singing teacher and registered to teach in preparation for Musical Theatre LAMDA examination. I spent most of my childhood singing, dancing and acting, going on to study Performing Arts at college and complete a BA Hons in Musical Theatre. After finishing my degree I signed a record contract, and briefly toured as part of a girl band, released 2 singles and performed on a West End stage (‘The Lyric Theatre’ if you are interested) Whilst I no longer perform, I get so much joy from teaching everything I’ve learnt to students in real life at our theatre school and virtually here on the hub.
