  • Description: Hygge (coziness and contentment). Join me for the best way to start your Wednesday morning. This block we are focusing on combining our practice with the concept of 'Hygge', the Danish art of coziness and contentment. Perfect to welcome in the darker winter months . This will be a gentle morning wake up, including stretching, breath work, meditation and intention setting to start your day off in the best possible way. The stretches will be working at a beginner level, and we will predominantly be practising at a gentle pace, slowly moving between positions and holding them for periods of time. There will be variations and adaptations available for more advanced stretchers. No previous experience required, open to all ages (but please note that for students younger than 7, there will be pauses and holds of movement, so concentration will be key to get the most from this class). If possible, try and find a quiet space to join us, and wear comfy, warm clothing. A yoga mat is great if you have one, and feel free to have a pillow and blanket to hand for comfort. If you don't have a yoga mat, please ensure your floor is gentle and supportive. Set the atmosphere for yourself at home with dimmed lighting and gentle music (if you want - yogis choice). It's a perfect opportunity to unwind, connect with your inner self, and discover the magic of Hygge from the comfort of their own space. Namaste L/O: Physical Strength and Flexibility: One of the primary goals of yoga and stretch is to improve physical strength and flexibility. Through regular practice, students can increase their muscle tone, enhance joint mobility, and develop a balanced and strong body. Stress Reduction: Learning to focus on the breath, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in relaxation techniques can help reduce the physical and mental effects of stress.
