Content

  • PLEASE NOTE Change of day and time. Welcome back (or simply welcome) after what we hope is a long, hot summer, to a gorgeous, gentle morning body and brain wake up class. Stretches are at a beginner level, and we will predominantly be practising at a gentle pace, slowly moving between positions and holding them for periods of time. There will be some variations and adaptations available for more advanced stretchers - but it's all about gently and kindly waking up the body and brain, preparing for a positive and energised day. No previous experience required, open to all ages (but please note that for students younger than 7, there will be pauses and holds of movement, so concentration will be key to get the most from this class). If possible, try and find a quiet space to join us, and wear comfy, warm clothing. A yoga mat is great if you have one, and feel free to have a pillow and blanket to hand for comfort. If you don't have a yoga mat, please ensure your floor is gentle, warm and supportive.

  • Set the atmosphere for yourself at home with dimmed lighting and gentle music (if you want - yogis choice). - Physical Strength and Flexibility Stress Reduction - Learning to focus on the breath, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in relaxation techniques - Improved Posture Balance and Coordination - Mental Clarity and Concentration - Encouraging mental focus and concentration - Emotional Well-being Mind-Body Connection - Through mindful movement and breath awareness, practitioners can become more attuned to the signals and needs of their bodies.

Tutor

Rosie .

Performing Arts, Dance, Yoga Tutor

Hi, I’m Rosie, the Performing Arts teacher. I’m a mum of one and I own a Theatre School here where I live in leafy Somerset. I am also a one to one singing teacher and registered to teach in preparation for Musical Theatre LAMDA examination. I spent most of my childhood singing, dancing and acting, going on to study Performing Arts at college and complete a BA Hons in Musical Theatre. After finishing my degree I signed a record contract, and briefly toured as part of a girl band, released 2 singles and performed on a West End stage (‘The Lyric Theatre’ if you are interested) Whilst I no longer perform, I get so much joy from teaching everything I’ve learnt to students in real life at our theatre school and virtually here on the hub.

“We have been taking part in the BSL lessons and the other day had great fun finger spelling while shopping. Two of my children have dyslexia with T being more severe, he hates and refuses spellings. Along comes BSL and he’s loving spellings!” ”

Holly, Parent

“Our family are full time travellers and the hub is a life line for us. The children get to see and speak to adults who show a real interest in their learning and their lives. They get to pick lessons that they are interested in and have fun learning something new. The social hub was a real life line for us too. My 3 have made friends and love getting to chat to children and adults daily too. ”

Donna, Parent

“I can’t thank you enough for starting this group Amy. You gave me back my happy (not so little anymore) boy. Thanks to this group he’s realised he’s not the stupid, naughty kid that school made him believe he was. His sister is on school holidays and he’s doing recorded lessons by choice. Xxxx ”
