• Description: PLEASE NOTE: There will be no live session on Monday 6th November - this will be pre-recorded instead. I got rhythm! Our second block will focus on 'rhythm'. We will be learning about: Time values, bars and metre, time signatures, ties- plus more. This block follows the ABRSM syllabus and covers everything that you need to know about rhythm in Grade 1. To aid us with our learning, we will continue to use ‘Discovering Music Theory -The ABRSM Grade 1 Workbook’. This book will need to be purchased if this is the first time that you are joining us. These books usually retail around £8.50 and will also be used within all of the following blocks. You many also want to buy the block that we have just finished about pitch if you didn't manage to sign up in time. The book will be accompanied by games and music to ensure that our lessons are engaging and fun! Please note that there is a change to how this block is being taught. Originally the blocks were going to be taught as an alternating pattern of a live block and then a pre-recorded block; this has now changed and each block will be taught as a live class. (You can still just buy recordings though if you would rather learn this way rather than joining the live class.)
