About this course

  • £10.00
  • Tutor: Natalie, 5 sessions
  • Age: 8+
  • Description: Pitch. Our first block will focus on 'pitch'. We will be learning: How to identify notes in the treble and bass clef; the role of an accidental; how to work out semitones and tones- plus more. This block follows the ABRSM syllabus and covers everything that you need to know about pitch in Grade 1. To aid us with our learning, we will be using the ‘Discovering Music Theory -The ABRSM Grade 1 Workbook’ which will need to be purchased. These books usually retail around £8.50. (This book will also be used within all of the following blocks.) The book will be accompanied by games to ensure that our lessons are engaging and fun! Please note that this block on pitch will be taught through live lessons but the following block (in November) will be pre-recorded. This alternating pattern of a live block and then a pre-recorded block with continue throughout the year. L/O: • To be able to read notes in the treble clef. • To be able to read notes in the bass clef. • To understand the role of an accidental. • To know and be able to work out tones and semitones.
