Content

  • Astronaut Adventures

    Pawprint Badges is a lovely creative set of cross curricular lessons based around a theme. Your child will work through the challenges and earn the badge virtually. A badge can also be purchased on the Pawprint website if your child wants to collect them but this is not a requirement.

    This block is jetting off into outer space with Astronaut Adventures!

    Session 1 - Intro - Looking at different planets, life in space, famous space explorers, star constellations and making a space hat for our adventures.

    Session 2 - Craft - Making a galaxy in a jar.

    Session 3 - Food - Baking space star or planet earth biscuits and decorating them.

    Session 4 - Games - Playing lots of space based games from spot the difference to space challenges. Possibly bingo as the children love it so much!

    Session 5 - Other - Galaxy and planet painting.

  • Course Objectives:

    To recognise the different types of colours.

    To use my understanding of the colour wheel to mix colours.

    To weigh and combine ingredients.

    To read a scale.

    To explore famous people from the past.

    To name the planets and know their order from the sun.

Sarah is covering for Hannah S's Pawprint class whilst Hannah is having a baby. Hello, I'm Sarah H and when I'm in school I'm Mrs Halliwell. I've been a full time primary school teacher for 16 years and then had a baby boy recently. I'm going back to being a teacher in class a couple of days a week and am so excited to teach in the Hub as well. I teach all the primary subjects in school but particularly love PSHE/HRE, English and Topic. I love bringing mindfulness and relaxation into my classroom as I think a happy mind and a happy body are really important in order to be effective learners. I also love using lots of interactive strategies to get you engaged with your learning. I specialise in Key Stage 1 but have taught across Key Stage 2 too. I love nature, camping and spending time with friends and family. I can't wait to share my love of teaching and learning with you guys!

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration. You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class. The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient
