  • Italy Challenge

In Block 3, we’ll be taking a trip across Italy together - exploring its famous landmarks, vibrant culture, delicious food and fascinating history.

Each week brings a brand-new adventure, from crafts and cooking to games and a journey back to Ancient Rome.

Pawprint badges are a brilliant, creative way for children to work towards an end goal.

Your child will complete the activities and earn their badge virtually.

If they’d like to collect them, badges can also be purchased from the Pawprint website - but this is completely optional.

Here’s what we’ll be getting up to each week:

    ✨Week 1 - Ciao, Italy!
We’ll kick off with an exciting introduction to Italy, exploring famous foods, landmarks, simple Italian phrases and more. Children will create their own explorer passport and even build a mini Leaning Tower of Pisa!

    🎭 Week 2 - Craft:
Make your own Venetian Carnival Mask, inspired by the magical Carnevale di Venezia.

    🍨 Week 3 - Food:
We will be making a delicious, child-friendly tiramisu cup with layers, texture and plenty of wow-factor.

    🎲 Week 4 - Games:
Enjoy lively Italian-themed games. As always, lots of laughter guaranteed!

    🏛️ Week 5 - Other:
Step back in time as we explore Ancient Rome. Discover gladiators, emperors and incredible inventions. We will be creating our own Ancient Rome mosaics in this session too. I can’t wait to get started and see all the amazing creations, cooking and learning you bring to life.

    Ci vediamo presto! ✨

Early Years, KS1, Pawprint & Social Pods

Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a primary school teacher, specialising in the early years (ages 3-7). I qualified in 2013 from Bath Spa University and have taught throughout the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 ever since, coordinating many subjects including maths, science and PE. In 2018, I completed my NASENCO award and worked as a SENCO, supporting many wonderful families, alongside teaching. I live by the sea in Weston super Mare with my husband, toddler daughter and two cheeky pugs. Since becoming a Mummy, I have realised how quickly our children grow up so have recently started teaching part time to enjoy this precious time with my daughter. I love sharing my passion for teaching with those of you in the Hub – it really is the highlight of my working week!
