    🐬🌊✨

Get ready to dive beneath the waves in this exciting Dolphin Discovery Adventure, where we’ll explore the amazing world of dolphins and their ocean relatives!

Dolphins are intelligent, playful marine mammals known for their incredible communication, acrobatic jumps and friendly nature. Throughout this fun 5 week block, children will learn fascinating facts about dolphins and cetaceans through creative crafts, tasty food activities, games and interactive challenges designed to spark curiosity and imagination.

Each week brings a brand new dolphin themed adventure, helping children learn about marine life in a fun, engaging and hands on way.

Pawprint badges are a brilliant, creative way for children to work towards an end goal. Your child will complete the activities and earn their badge virtually. If they’d like to collect them, badges can also be purchased from the Pawprint website - but this is completely optional.

Here’s what we’ll be getting up to each week:

🐬 Week 1 - Introduction to Dolphins We’ll begin our underwater adventure by learning all about dolphins! What makes them mammals? Where do they live? How do they communicate? We’ll discover fascinating dolphin facts before creating a beautiful Dolphin Under the Sea Silhouette painting using bubble art.

🌊 Week 2 - Craft This week we’ll get creative by making our own Leaping Dolphin Craft inspired by dolphins jumping and splashing through the waves.

🐟 Week 3 - Food Time to become ocean chefs! We’ll make delicious Fish Finger Sandwiches while chatting about what dolphins eat and how they hunt for food in the wild.

🎲 Week 4 - Games Get ready for lots of dolphin themed fun! We’ll play games including Simon Says, 'Friend or Food?' where we decide whether something is a dolphin species or dolphin dinner, a dolphin Kahoot quiz and some simple acrobatic exercises inspired by dolphins’ amazing movements.

🐋 Week 5 - The Cetacean Family In our final session, we’ll explore the wider cetacean family, learning about whales, porpoises and dolphins. We’ll compare different species and create our own fascinating cetacean fact files.

I can’t wait to dive into the wonderful world of dolphins with you and see all the fantastic creations, discoveries and fun along the way.

See you soon for our Dolphin Discovery Adventure! 🐬🌊

Early Years, KS1, Pawprint & Social Pods

Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a primary school teacher, specialising in the early years (ages 3-7). I qualified in 2013 from Bath Spa University and have taught throughout the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 ever since, coordinating many subjects including maths, science and PE. In 2018, I completed my NASENCO award and worked as a SENCO, supporting many wonderful families, alongside teaching. I live by the sea in Weston super Mare with my husband, toddler daughter and two cheeky pugs. Since becoming a Mummy, I have realised how quickly our children grow up so have recently started teaching part time to enjoy this precious time with my daughter. I love sharing my passion for teaching with those of you in the Hub – it really is the highlight of my working week!

Katharine, parent

“I would like to say a huge Thank you for your incredible service. Such a brilliant concept and as an ex-teacher I'm very impressed with the quality of teaching, resources, well everything really! My 14year old is like a different child nowadays, wish I had deregistered him years ago in hindsight. Thank you!”

Claire, parent

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for all you do at the Hub. It is such a Godsend for us. Our kids are enjoying their lessons, the live interaction with other kids and the lovely, lovely teachers. Where did you find such wonderful, knowledgeable but incredibly patient people?! It’s such a relief our kids can get a tailor made, good quality, British style education even as we live out this slightly crazy life here in the Mexican jungle! Thank you very much to all involved.”

Carolyn, parent

“Very grateful for all your hard work, and thankful for all your help during these 4 years (can't believe it's been so long) - you don't know and I can't express in words how much pressure you take of our shoulders with this amazing palette of classes that you offer.”

Cristiana, parent

“I've recommended so many people to the hub, you guys have revolutionised home ed for us. Literally. After building up our confidence with using the hub, I've actually been able to take on work based back out in the community while my daughter is at home studying. Thanks for everything you are doing! ”

Tina, parent

“A massive thankyou for all you do at the £2 hub, we have been with you from the start and seen you grow but this is the first time we have done GCSE exams with you, and with great results! Thanks ”

Hub parent

“After a year of mostly science and art, my child has recently started Creative Writing class. From the first lesson I was blown away by the quality of the teaching, the standard of work the children were submitting and the supportive environment of the group. The tutor has a fantastic rapport with her students and it is also so nice (and great for their self-confidence) to see the students give each other great feedback and encouragement.”
