Description: Owl Challenge Join me for an owl-tastic adventure where we'll unravel the mysteries of these nocturnal hunters, explore their unique adaptations, and soar into a world of knowledge about these wise birds. Pawprint badges are super fun and provide your children with an opportunity to work towards an end goal. Upon completion of the activities that we carry out together during this block, you will be able to purchase the 'owl badge' from the Pawprint website to add to your collection. Each week, we will complete a different activity together. The activities will be as follows: Week 1: INTRODUCTION - What are owls? In this session we will find out about the owl's unique adaptations and look at several species of owl and where they're located in the world. Together, we'll plot these on a world map! Week 2: CRAFT - Yarn Owl Craft. Week 3: FOOD - Oreo Owl Cupcakes. Week 4: GAMES - Owl call quiz, make our own owl top trump cards and owl related games. Week 5: OTHER - The Owl and the Pussycat - make masks and act out the poem. L/O: L.O: To identify and describe different owl species and their characteristics. L.O: To explore owl adaptations and understand how they enable owls to be effective nocturnal hunters.
