  • T-Rex Challenge

I’m super excited to invite you to take part in our T-Rex Challenge! 🦖

We’ll be travelling back in time to the age of dinosaurs: exploring fossils, creativity, science and fun hands on activities together. It’s going to be roar-some!

Pawprint badges are a brilliant way for children to work towards a fun and meaningful goal.

Each week, we’ll take part in creative, cross curricular activities inspired by the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex. Your child can earn their badge by completing the activities below.

A physical badge can be purchased from the Pawprint website if your child would like to collect them but this is completely optional.

Each session will focus on a different theme. Here’s what to expect:

    🦴 Week 1 - What is a T-Rex?
We’ll kick things off by learning all about the Tyrannosaurus Rex - what it was like, when it lived and how we know about it today. Children will take part in a Playdough fossil activity, creating and pressing dinosaur fossils using a T-Rex template.

    🦖 Week 2 - Craft: Paper Plate T-Rex Skull
This week is all about creativity! Children will design and build their own moving T-Rex skull using simple craft materials.

🍪 Week 3 - Food: Tyrannosaurus Teeth Biscuits
We’re heading into the kitchen to bake some prehistoric treats! Children will make and decorate their own 'T-Rex teeth' biscuits.

    🎮 Week 4 - Games & Challenges
A fun filled week of dinosaur themed games and activities! We’ll play a Kahoot! quiz, spot the difference and other T-Rex inspired games.

    🧠 Week 5 - The T-Rex Brain & Animal Comparisons
To finish, we’ll explore the fascinating world of brains! We’ll look at how big a T-Rex brain was, compare it to other animals and learn why human brains are so important.

This block is packed with science, creativity, and prehistoric fun! 🦖🌋

Get ready for a dino-mite adventure!

Pawprint and Social Pods

Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a primary school teacher, specialising in the early years (ages 3-7).
I qualified in 2013 from Bath Spa University and have taught throughout the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 ever since, coordinating many subjects including maths, science and PE. In 2018, I completed my NASENCO award and worked as a SENCO, supporting many wonderful families, alongside teaching.
I live by the sea in Weston super Mare with my husband, toddler daughter and two cheeky pugs. Since becoming a Mummy, I have realised how quickly our children grow up so have recently started teaching part time to enjoy this precious time with my daughter.
I love sharing my passion for teaching with those of you in the Hub – it really is the highlight of my working week!

Parent Comments

“I would like to say thank you for the service you provided, you have always been very helpful whenever I had any questions. Primarily you offer a great service, doing lessons online and watching the videos was a game changer for my daughter as she could watch them at home on her own schedule. Subsequently this has allowed her to take 2 additional GCSEs that she would not have done other wise. Thank you very much”

David, parent

“Thank you so much for everything!! You have been an absolute life saver. There was a time when I couldn't possibly imagine my son taking any GCSEs at all, and here we are ploughing through the past papers and sending him off to exams with a calm and confident son. Extraordinary! Thank goodness for you and your efforts to help kids like him - we will be eternally grateful.”

Ruth, parent

“I would like to say a huge Thank you for your incredible service. Such a brilliant concept and as an ex-teacher I'm very impressed with the quality of teaching, resources, well everything really! My 14year old is like a different child nowadays, wish I had deregistered him years ago in hindsight. Thank you!”

Claire, parent

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for all you do at the Hub. It is such a Godsend for us. Our kids are enjoying their lessons, the live interaction with other kids and the lovely, lovely teachers. Where did you find such wonderful, knowledgeable but incredibly patient people?! It’s such a relief our kids can get a tailor made, good quality, British style education even as we live out this slightly crazy life here in the Mexican jungle! Thank you very much to all involved.”

Carolyn, parent
