  • Description: Matilda Part 2 This block our work will continue to be influenced by the Roald Dahl classic 'Matilda'. Drawing inspiration from the book, original film and the musical. In drama we'll be playing games, exploring feelings, emotions and characters using the story to help us and reading a basic script (with support from Rosie or parents if needed). In dance we will warm up our bodies and stretch, learn new or build on dance technique we've learnt in previous blocks and learn a dance routine to a song from the musical. In singing, we will warm up our voices, practice good singing technique and learn to sing one of the songs from the musical. L/O: To understand how storytelling and characters can influence and develop a story line. To build on our skills in all areas of performing arts through singing, dancing and drama. To improve our physical fitness and mental well-being. To build on our confidence skills.
