Content

  • Phase 2 individual letters sounds and common exception words. In Phase 2, we will continue to revise individual letter sounds and common exception (tricky) words learnt so far, and will introduce the remaining phase 2 sounds h, b, f, ff, l, ll, ss and the common exception words 'go' and 'into'. We will use our knowledge of the sounds learnt to blend to read CVC words, and segment to spell CVC words. We will continue to read short sentences using the sounds and common exception words learnt so far, and write some short sentences.

  • To learn and recognise individual letter sounds for reading and recall for spelling. To learn to blend sounds in order to read CVC words and short sentences. To learn to segment words into sounds in order to spell CVC words and short captions. To learn to read and spell common exception words.

Hi Everyone! I’m Lisa. I am a qualified primary teacher and have been teaching since 2009, predominately in EYFS, and some in Year 1, 2, 3 and 4. I have two children of my own who are 6 and 3, and I’m based in Gloucestershire. I love teaching phonics and even more so, love to see the sense of achievement from children who are learning to read! It is a pleasure to run the phonics sessions in the hub, and aim to make the sessions interactive, fun and enjoyable!

    All recordings are uploaded within 24hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient
