Content

  • Forces and Motion

    What would weigh more, a hippo on the moon, or a person on Earth? How fast does a bullet accelerate? How do you calculate how quickly you can run? Are Newton's laws really up to much, or are they a box office flop?

    Find out the answers to all these questions, and more, as we delve into the IGCSE Double Science curriculum's Physics modules. There will be formulae, forces, acceleration, but delivered in real life scenarios, bringing Physics to life, one weird question at a time.

  • Course Objectives:

    This block will focus on the Forces and motion content of the IGCSE Science double award, Physics modules.

    Specialist Resources Needed:

    10 lollipop sticks, 3 elastic bands, toilet roll tube, balloon, scissors, tape, pen, paper, calculator

IGCSE Physics Tutor

Hi Everyone! I am Ben, I am a qualified, award winning Physics teacher with a Physics degree from University of St Andrews and previous head of Primary STEM, so you could say Science is my thing.
I do physics differently. Lessons are built around real-world connections that make the maths and science click, answering the questions you never knew you wanted to ask: why your rollercoaster stays on the track? How black holes warp time? What's actually happening when you skid on ice?   • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
