  • Age: approx 14-16
  • Description: PLEASE NOTE: Change of Time. Waves. Students will explore the fundamental concepts of wave properties, the electromagnetic spectrum, and sound. They will learn about the general properties of waves, including amplitude, wavelength, frequency, and wave speed, as well as wave behaviors like reflection and refraction. Moving on to the electromagnetic spectrum, students will be introduced to various types of electromagnetic waves, their properties, and applications in everyday life. The lessons will then shift focus to sound waves, covering their properties, behaviors, and the perception of sound. Students will also discover the practical applications of sound. L/O: General wave properties. Wave calculations and diffraction. Electromagnetic spectrum. Uses of electromagnetic waves. Sound waves. Sound wave calculations, compressions and rarefactions.
