About this course

  • £10.00
  • Tutor: Carrie Ann, 5 sessions
  • Age: approx 14-16, KS4
  • Description: Motions, forces and energy (con). Developing a comprehensive understanding of key topics in physics, including physical quantities and measurement techniques, determining the resultant of two vectors at right angles, motion analysis, free fall, density, and terminal velocity. Students will learn about the fundamental physical quantities and measurement techniques used in physics, as well as how to calculate or graphically determine the resultant of two vectors at right angles. They will explore motion analysis through ticker tape, area under a speed-distance graph, and acceleration. The concept of free fall and its relationship with time, distance, and acceleration due to gravity will be covered. Additionally, students will delve into density, its formula, and calculations, and explore the concept of terminal velocity and its connection to forces and air resistance. L/O: Motions, forces and energy (con): Physical quantities and measurement techniques. Determine, by calculation or graphically, the resultant of two vectors at right angles, limited to forces or velocities only. Motion (con) Ticker tape, area under a speed-distance graph, acceleration. Free fall. Density. Terminal velocity.
