About this course

  • £10.00
  • Tutor: Natalie, 5 sessions
  • Age: 10+
  • Description: Block 6 is a continuation of the previous blocks. If you are new to piano/keyboard and would like to join us in this block, you will need to purchase Block 5 and the Condensed Catch-Up Block. Within Block 6, we will be: • Continuing to learn how to read music • Improvising a melody over a chord progression in a minor key • Learning tricks for connecting left hand chords together • Learning how to play the first part of Bach’s ‘Toccata and Fugue’ Each lesson will begin with a warm up of chords, scales or arpeggios, followed by the main session. Lessons always finish with a little time at the end to give students the opportunity to play for the class or ask questions if they wish. As in all previous blocks, these lessons aim to provide students with the tools needed to learn music independently. L/O: •To be able to read music •To be able to play some basic scales and arpeggios •To be able to improvise a melody over a given chord progression •To be able to play the first part of Bach’s ‘Toccata and Fugue’
