  • ‘Golden Hour’ and ‘Die With a Smile’

    If you are a newcomer and have never played the piano/keyboard before, I would recommend either purchasing my ‘Condensed Catch Up Block’ https://courses.the2poundtuitionhub.com/courses/piano-Beginners-10-condensed-catch-up-block to learn the basics of reading music and how to play chords before joining or purchase our September 2024 block https://courses.the2poundtuitionhub.com/courses/piano-10-sept-2024-chords-inversions-8561 which teaches basic chords.

    In this block, we are going to be learning the songs: ‘Die With a Smile’ by Bruno Mars/Lady Gaga and ‘Golden Hour’ by Jvke. The main piece for the beginners in the group during each session will be ‘Die with a Smile’; the main focus for students with previous experience during each session will be ‘Golden Hour’. However, if students with experience would like to learn both pieces, I will be showing them how to modify ‘Die With a Smile’ so that they can challenge themselves in order to match their own ability. Each session will begin with a warm up and students will be given the opportunity to play for everyone at the end of the class. The links for the sheet music for both songs is on the dashboard.

  • Course Objectives:

    To be able to play ‘Die With a Smile’

    To be able to play ‘Golden Hour’

    To be able to read and play a melody in the treble clef

    To be able to work out major and minor chords

    To be able to play chords in my left hand to accompany a melody in my right hand

    To be able to modify a piece of music to match my own ability

Piano Tutor

Hi, I’m Natalie and I am the piano/keyboard teacher for the hub. I am a mum of two and a qualified primary school teacher. I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old and have been teaching piano for around 24 years- both online and in person. I am also a classically trained singer and was a member of the Cantamus Girls’ Choir for ten years. Pre-Covid, I enjoyed singing to residents in care homes and running my own dementia choir. Music is such a huge part of my life and I am thoroughly enjoying teaching in the hub, where I can share my love of music and enjoy watching children flourish.

  • How do I access the Live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration. You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class. The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient

  • How do I contact support?
