  • Interstellar (Zimmer) &
    I Giorni (Einaudi)

    In this block, we will be learning ‘Interstellar’ by Hans Zimmer and ‘I Giorni’ by Ludovico Einaudi. The main piece for beginners will be ‘Interstellar’ and the main piece for students with previous experience will be ‘I Giorni’. The sheet music links for both pieces are on the dashboard. Both pieces are from the website Music Notes. Please note, if you would like to learn both pieces, buying them both together in the same transaction will give you a little discount. We will be warming up at the start of each session with contrary motion scales and whilst learning our pieces, we will also look at how to use the sustain pedal to create a more beautiful sound.

  • If you are a newcomer and have never played the piano/keyboard before, I would recommend purchasing my ‘Condensed Catch Up Block’ https://courses.the2poundtuitionhub.com/courses/piano-Beginners-10-condensed-catch-up-block to learn the basics and get a head start before joining our January 2025 block.

    To be able to read and play a melody in the treble clef

    To be able to read and play notes in the bass clef

    To be able to read some rhythms

    To be able to play a contrary motion scale

    To be able to use the sustain pedal

Piano Tutor

Hi, I’m Natalie and I am the piano/keyboard teacher for the hub. I am a mum of two and a qualified primary school teacher. I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old and have been teaching piano for around 24 years- both online and in person. I am also a classically trained singer and was a member of the Cantamus Girls’ Choir for ten years. Pre-Covid, I enjoyed singing to residents in care homes and running my own dementia choir. Music is such a huge part of my life and I am thoroughly enjoying teaching in the hub, where I can share my love of music and enjoy watching children flourish.

  • How do I access the Live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration. You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class. The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient

  • How do I contact support?
