  • Grow a Garden with Music
    (featuring ‘Morning Mood’ by Grieg and 'Everything is Awesome' from ‘The Lego Movie’)

    This is a stand-alone block and is suitable for both beginners and those who have previously had lessons. Beginners will learn the melody of both pieces whilst those who have played before will add in their left hand too. Adult supervision is highly recommended, for the beginners in the class, during each lesson.

    Come and join us as we 'spring' into the next block- combining music and nature in a fun and creative way to grow our own little gardens! Inspired by the popular game Roblox, students will use the magic of music to help their seedlings grow. At the start of the block, everyone will plant their very own seeds - flowers, plants, or even vegetables. Then each week, we’ll nurture them by playing music to our seedlings while we practice.

    During this block, students will learn two exciting pieces: ‘Morning Mood’ by Grieg (known to many as the main theme from Roblox) and ‘Everything Is Awesome’ from The Lego Movie. Whether you want to grow your own plant or simply watch everyone’s green-fingered journey unfold, this fun, spring-themed piano block is the perfect way to celebrate the season.

  • Course Objectives:

    To be able to recognise and name notes in the bass clef

    To be able to play a melody in my right hand

    To be able to play 'Morning Mood' by Grieg

Piano Tutor

Hi, I’m Natalie and I am the piano/keyboard teacher for the hub. I am a mum of two and a qualified primary school teacher. I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old and have been teaching piano for around 24 years- both online and in person. I am also a classically trained singer and was a member of the Cantamus Girls’ Choir for ten years. Pre-Covid, I enjoyed singing to residents in care homes and running my own dementia choir. Music is such a huge part of my life and I am thoroughly enjoying teaching in the hub, where I can share my love of music and enjoy watching children flourish.

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
