  • Stargazing while
    Chasing Cars
    (featuring ‘Stargazing’ by Myles Smith and ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol)

    This is a stand-alone block and is designed for beginners and those with experience. Beginners will focus mainly on learning and playing the right-hand melody. More experienced players will be challenged to develop left-hand accompaniments to make the songs sound fuller and more expressive. Whether you're new to the piano/keyboard or ready to take your playing further, this block will help you build confidence, develop new skills, and play two fantastic songs along the way.

    In this exciting piano/keyboard block, students will learn to play two hugely popular songs: ‘Stargazing’ by Myles Smith and the iconic ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol.

    Whether you love powerful pop ballads or simply want to build your keyboard skills, this block is the perfect opportunity to develop your playing while learning music you recognise and enjoy.

    Throughout the block, we’ll explore key musical skills that help bring modern songs to life, including: How to read and play from a lead sheet; how to play chords in their 1st and 2nd inversions and how to use rhythms effectively on the keyboard.

Piano Tutor

Hi, I’m Natalie and I am the piano/keyboard teacher for the hub. I am a mum of two and a qualified primary school teacher. I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old and have been teaching piano for around 24 years- both online and in person. I am also a classically trained singer and was a member of the Cantamus Girls’ Choir for ten years. Pre-Covid, I enjoyed singing to residents in care homes and running my own dementia choir. Music is such a huge part of my life and I am thoroughly enjoying teaching in the hub, where I can share my love of music and enjoy watching children flourish.

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
