  • Description: Block 6 is a continuation of the previous blocks. For children who have had lessons before and would like to join us, this is the perfect time to join. For children who are new to piano, there is a ‘Condensed Catch-Up Block’ for you to purchase, where I have condensed all of our previous blocks into one. This block will run alongside these sessions. The sessions cover everything the students need to know before joining us in Block 6. For this block, and other upcoming blocks, we will be using the ‘Get Set Piano Tutor Book 1’ which will need to be purchased before the first lesson (and for the catch-up block if you are new). We will be recapping/learning: • Five note scales • How to sight-read music • Playing music by ear Looking at/learning about: • Dynamics • Accents • Rests • Rhythm We will also be learning pieces within the ‘Get Set Piano Tutor Book’, including the lively and fun ‘Jelly on a plate’ piece. As always, children will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session, or play for the group. L/O: To develop sight-reading skills To play using dynamics To play five note scales To play notes with accents
