    Block 13

    This fun and interactive class is perfect for Pokemon fans! The class will be cross-curricular and each block we will study lots of different curriculum areas through the theme of Pokemon, including Science, Geography, History, English, Art, and IT. This block we'll also have a recipe and online quizzes.

    Resources Needed:

    For your minibeast biome- a small-medium plant pot with holes at the base, soil, small rocks, moss, twigs.

    For your Pokeball plushie- various pieces of felt (you chose the colours you would like for your Pokeball!) Needle and thread. Wadding (you can use lots of cotton wool balls instead!)

  • Course Objectives:

    This block we will be kicking off with some science and learning about evolution and inheritance.

    We will link this to Pokemon evolutions and how Pokemon evolve and change from basic to stages 1 and 2.

    In art we will be learning about the artist M.C. Escher and will create our own tessellating Pokemon art work.

    A little more science - we will be learning about insect-inspired Pokemon and creating our own minibeast biomes.

    In maths, we will learn about coordinates and use these on maps of Pokemon lands.

    Finally, we will be working on our textiles skills and sewing our own Pokeball plushie!

Primary History Tutor

Hi! I’m Sarah and I teach Primary History on The Hub and am currently working on a new exciting recording ready for after Christmas. I’m a mum of two young boys and have been a primary teacher for 15 years (how time flies!) After spending the last 10 years teaching Year 6 in a junior school I now work mainly with young people and adults with a variety of different educational needs, either 1-to-1 or delivering group workshops. I’m loving this new challenge in addition to my work at The Hub! Above all, my aim is to work creatively to make lessons fun and engaging- I think we all learn more that way!

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
