Content

  • The 2nd World War - Part 2

    Builds on last block (WW2 Part 1) but it is still possible to join in even if you did not join for the first part. Key names and dates will be recapped.

    As always, this block will include lots of interactive elements within the lessons, including online quizzes, live recipes and crafts.

    This will be the second part of a double-block on this fascinating part of history. The first block on the same theme was covered in January 2025 and is available via recordings, although this is not essential to join in with this block.

  • Course Objectives:

    As we continue to learn about the Second World War, we will think specifically about the experiences of British people during this time. We will learn about the children who were evacuated to safety and what their experiences were like. We will learn about the vital way that women helped during the war and also how propaganda was used to persuade and send certain messages to the general public. We will learn about the exciting stories of the 'unsung heroes' who helped win the war and, finally, how the war was won and ended.

Primary History Tutor

Hi! I’m Sarah and I teach Primary History on The Hub and am currently working on a new exciting recording ready for after Christmas. I’m a mum of two young boys and have been a primary teacher for 15 years (how time flies!) After spending the last 10 years teaching Year 6 in a junior school I now work mainly with young people and adults with a variety of different educational needs, either 1-to-1 or delivering group workshops. I’m loving this new challenge in addition to my work at The Hub! Above all, my aim is to work creatively to make lessons fun and engaging- I think we all learn more that way!

  • How do I access the Live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration. You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class. The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient

  • How do I contact support?
