  • Description:Each block we will learn about a different period in history. We will approach the topic in a creative and interactive way, including music, video, quizzes, cooking and crafting. This term- The Victorians! Learning objectives covered: We will be learning all about what life was like for people, both rich and poor, during this period of British history. We will find out what it was like to be a child, what school was like and what jobs children were expected to do. As part of our work, we'll also be looking at how the Victorians were depicted in art, literature and film (think Mary Poppins and Oliver Twist to give you an idea!) We'll be finding out about some very famous people from the Victorian Age, including Britain's second-longest reigning monarch herself- Queen Victoria! We'll also be learning about Victorian fashion, pastimes and games. And of course, there'll be the usual recipe and crafts along the way, all topped off with an (optional) fancy dress party in our last session! Phew- that's a lot to fit in! See you soon!
